SISIS EQUIPMENT LTD., the long-established machinery manufacturers based in Cheshire, are delighted to have supplied equipment, through their Hong Kong Dealer Kar Wo, to the Macau Stadium venue for the East Asian Games in October 2005.

Among the machinery is the Multislit deep slitter, Powaspred tractor mounted top-dresser, Quadraplay one-pass surface groomer and the new AER-AID System.

The AER-AID is a revolutionary aerator blasting air directly into the root-zone at close centres and at a fast working speed, to combat compaction. Use of the AER-AID has demonstrated significant improvements to infiltration rates and substantial hardness reductions. A reduction in hardness can be a major factor in reducing impact-related injuries.

In stadium environments, the problems of shade and reduced air flow around the pitch often compound compaction related problems. Ultimately "Black Layer" can form – a stagnant, anaerobic layer often close to the surface and characterised by its foul smell and dark colour.
